Child Safe Nation is a nation wide vision lead by Canada Family Action. This project seeks better protection for children from those that seek to harm them via the internet. The Canadian internet crime rates for crime committed against children are increasing at unprecedented levels. Many of our laws communicate that we as a nation do not value children. The same laws communicate to pedophiles from around the world that Canada is a safe place to perform their crimes against innocent children. Sentences for committing sex crimes against children are so pathetic we are known as a sex tourist destination. We want this to change.
Child Safe Nation is dedicated to changing Canadian legislation to protect children from internet sex crimes. We seek to accomplish this by mobilizing citizens from coast to contact their MP to support the three legislative changes proposed by Child Safe Nation.
